The museum is located in the former depot and division headquarters of the Illinois Central Railroad. Architecturally interesting and on the National Register of Historic Places. It has been completely restored both inside and out and includes the original brick tarmac and grounds of the former rail-yard.  The museum complex also contains a freight house with additional artifacts, a country school house, a retire steam engine and caboose.  A great display of local and railroad history!
