A 19-foot-high bronze work sculpted by Leonard Crunelle, the statue marks the location of Abraham Lincoln's service during the Blackhawk War. Lincoln is depicted as a 23-year-old captain, clean shaven and in uniform. This statue is the only statue of Lincoln in uniform.
