The Hennepin Canal Feeder (on the National Register of Historic Places) extends from Rock Falls to Sheffield IL. The Hennepin Canal Feeder opens the door to the parkway with miles of bike and hiking paths, canoeing, fishing and historical sites along the way. At the mouth of the feeder is Rock Falls' Hydroelectic Plant completed in 1988 and is the first such constructed in Illinois since 1927.

    The first 3.5 miles is paved, in good condition, fair in places. Has markers calling out 1/2 mile distances from the Rock River. Mostly flat, with some slight inclines. An enjoyable ride, after Beul Road the path turns to gravel, but smooth for gravel.
