Experience the Homestead Way of Life
Rich in tradition, Muller's Lane offers informative farm tours for children young and old.
We offer our farm as an example of a self-sufficient homestead, employing 19th, 20th and 21st century tools and techniques to provide for our needs. Likewise we do our best to continue practicing the daily chores and home arts much like our ancestors did 100 years ago.
Our farm tours are designed to inform, entertain and instill an appreciation of the "How's" and the "Why's" of foods and a different way of life. Activities are scheduled depending on the length of time you wish to spend and the age of your group.
Your group will see and can learn about: various poultry (chickens, geese, ducks, pea fowl, guineas and turkeys), cattle, pigs (and the smokehouse!), homemade soap, gardening (herbs & vegetables), fruits and food preservation, spinning yarn and the fiber arts and blacksmithing.
The products produced on our homestead, either from the animals or from ourselves, are labors of love. Tours are available for groups from 1-35 and need to be reserved 1 week in advance.
